Despite having only one state assemblyman in Sabah, PKR has announced it wants to contest 13 seats this coming Sabah State elections.
It’s Information Chief, Simsudin Sidek said, the increase for PKR is reasonable considering the increase in total number of seats being contested in Sabah.
Forbthe record, PKR only won two state assembly seats in the last General Elections. The two are Api-api and Inanam.
In 2020 however, its Inanam state assemblyman Keny Chua switched support to Musa Aman.
Following the “katak” episode, PKR is left with only one state assemblyman.
Of late, word on the ground is that PKR has soured ties with all its allies.
Last weekend, while Warisan, UPKO, DAP and Amanah launched their election machinery together in Keningau, PKR decided to launch its own machinery in Kota Kinabalu.
Apart from that, DAP and Amanah have both agreed to use the Warisan flag for the coming state polls, except PKR.
Today, PKR again announced its candidates a day before Warisan is scheduled to announce its candidates.
