The realignment between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) at the Federal level may see Warisan takeover the Sabah Government.
The Sabah Government is currently a loose cooperation between BN and GRS.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor currently commands the support of 53 out of 79 state assemblyman.
Of the 53, 29 are from GRS, 17 are from BN and 7 are GRS-friendly parties.
Should BN team up with PH and Warisan at the Federal level, Hajiji’s 53-seat support will be reduced to 36.
The simple majority 40 seats.
Warisan being the single largest party in the Sabah State Assembly with 19 seats looks set to take helm.
With BN’s 17 and PH’s 7, Warisan’s tally will hit 43.
